Have you wondered why the nineties trends are so popular lately? it’s been only a little more than a decade since then, so why do we feel nostalgic for a decade that isn’t really that old? maybe it isn’t nostalgia, maybe it’s freedom. I’ll explain myself: if you have more or less my age, nineties were your childhood years, when we grew up watching series like Clarissa explains it all or Sabrina, the teenage witch, but you never had the freedom to choose what to wear, at least I didn’t. My mom loved to dress me up with cute little sundresses, and when it was cold she used to put me on a set of sporty windbreakers because it was easy to match at the mornings and she didn’t have to worry that I’d catch a cold.

What I want to say is: yes, maybe we do feel a little nostalgic about the nineties, but I think the main reason for its return is so that us, the Clarissa generation, have the chance to wear it and decide how to wear it, however there are some things that should never come back for any reason, like the tattoo chokers.
