While the temperature gets higher and the layers we dress become lighter, we go through the transition from weekends at home rolled up in our cozy blankets watching movies with a hot coco in our hands, to the weekends of warm afternoons strolling around the city, fairs, festivals or any excuse that’s good enough to go out. In Spain, especially in Barcelona, there’s no weekend where you can feel bored, and is that a country with so much tradition where the reasons to celebrate abound, it keeps your agenda full every single weekend.

Whatever the type of festival you attend, the key to each and every one is to go as comfortable as possible and prepared to walk a lot in flat shoes, covering from the sun with a hat, sunglasses and a sunscreen is non-negotiable. Trying to bring as little as possible in your bag is a good idea, as well as wearing basic make-up; it turns into a time saver at the morning and you avoid the tedious touch-ups in the middle of a huge crowd.

Whether you go to an important music festival (in which case I’m a little envious because for some reason I haven’t had the chance) or a local fair in your city, the most important thing is to have a good time and dare to try new things, like food, people & music. I already have a couple more ideas for this kind of outfits, and to my luck we still have lots of holidays to celebrate here in Spain.
